IT Business Analysts (Applications)

Our client are an established yet innovative technology and business process solutions organisation. They are entering a new growth phase have a current requirement for experienced Business Analysts.

Your role will include analysis of client requirements and the translation of these into functional specifications for the customer and design specifications for the software development team. You will also provide support to project development teams, the internal test team and the client, managing their expectations during all stages of the project lifecycle.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Extraction of client requirements via workshops, interviews and other methods.

  • Analysis and documentation of client requirements.

  • Production of Functional Specifications and Design documents.

  • Resolution of client issues and queries, working at both process and technical level suggesting relevant approaches. 

  • Assist Project Manager / Team Leader with estimation, creation and allocation of development work packages using the likes of Microsoft DevOps 

  • Assist the development team in the understanding of client requirements both functional and non-functional. 

Does this sound like you?

  • Previous experience in a similar role providing business analysis / consultancy to clients in a software development environment.

  • Analytical mind with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Experience of working to a project plan and managing change controls.

  • Experience of delivering presentations using a structure and style appropriate to audience.

  • Experience of working with remote teams.

  • You are a team player with good interpersonal skills and a drive to take ownership of and responsibility for the tasks assigned to you.

  • Strong and effective communicator with a responsible and professional approach.

  • Able to communicate professionally with both clients and colleagues, using interpersonal skills to work with other teams to resolve outstanding issues.
