ICT Support Engineer

Reporting to the Head of ICT, this is an opportunity to further develop your Infrastructure skills in a progressive and growing organisation. Within the role you will contribute to the provision of a high quality and professional ICT service that fully supports the achievement of the business objectives and contributes proactively to organisational goals of continuous improvement, cost efficiency and digital inclusion.
You will support the Head of ICT in achieving targets and service level agreements (SLAs) and the provision of a comprehensive IT support service as part of the existing Helpdesk facility, ensuring incidents are effectively logged, responded to within SLA and resolved in a customer focused manner.
Qualifications and Experience required:
- A relevant HNC qualification e.g. computing/Microsoft /other system certification or equivalent and at least 1 years relevant experience supporting and troubleshooting IT systems, server/pc hardware, operating systems, back office applications and network technologies
- Minimum of 1 year working in a customer focused role
- Customer focused with excellent problem solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Teamworker
- Ability to communicate ICT to non-technical audiences
Desirable criteria:
- MCP/MCSA/MCSD Certification
- Experience with content management software
- Knowledge of security standards e.g. BS7799 and ISO1779
