Information Management (Data) Officer

Exact IT Resources are delighted to be working with a prestigious client.

Reporting to the HR Manager, this is a multi-faceted role in a progressive and growing organisation.  Our customer plays a key role within the Community.  It is a progressive environment with a key focus on development and promoting key values.

You will manage and mitigate the Organisation’s data protection compliance risk, HR Information System (HRIS) and oversee the data retention schedule for the organisation.  Recommending and implementing strategic improvements to policy, systems and reporting, including continuous improvement in order to meet the large-scale data needs of the business.


There are a number of areas of business and technical responsibility within the role:

Leadership and Management

Contribute to the management and ongoing development of the HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring this operates to its full potential, for the benefit of management and employees, resolving issues as required.


System Management

Maintain information systems to ensure information is dependable and robust.

You will deliver an effective and compliant records management system, as part of a modern and customer focused service and foster a culture of this across the Association.


Data Management

Support the identification, development and implementation of systems for the recording and reporting of people metrics (including trend analysis) and provide accurate and timely reports.


Best Practice 

Assist in the monitoring of HR compliance issues and plans to address non-compliance and oversee the provision of general HR administrative support across the Association as required.





  • Level six qualification (e.g., Bachelor's Degree, Graduate diploma) in a Business-related discipline or Information Technology.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in data management or information technology systems and BI/analytical reporting at officer level, in an organisation of at least 50 employees.
  • Extensive experience of fully utilising Information Systems and associated reporting packages.
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and act upon large amounts of data, for internal and external use, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise personal and project workloads, ensuring all deadlines have been met.
  • A current full driving licence



  • Experience of managing a small to medium sized team.



The role will primarily be based between Belfast and another site in Co. Down.  There will be very occasional travel to other sites in Northern Ireland.
