IT Administrator (Mid Ulster)

We are currently recruiting for an IT Administrator position for our client, a major established and growing business.

 

There has been a recent positive change across the organisation and this is a key role combining IT Support and project related work.

 

Reporting to the IT Service Delivery Manager, in this exciting position you will contribute to the delivery of day-to-day IT Support, assist with projects and upgrades along with continual service improvements.

 

You should ideally be familiar with hypervisors & virtualisation, Networking & the Windows Server and Client ecosystems and proficient in user productivity software (O365).

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Effectively work with project stakeholders and senior management

  • Provide guidance and influence positive behaviours of the IT Site Support staff.

  • Establish an effective working relationship with external vendors and MSP

  • Develop a culture of ownership through the transition of new technology into BAU

 

Does this sound like you?

 

  • Good working knowledge of historical and current Microsoft Operating Systems (Server and Client)

  • Active Directory Maintenance

  • Good working knowledge of major networking components, network operating systems and Server /Infrastructure hardware components

  • Experience with architectural/technologies such as Client deployment/Imaging technology, Server / storage hardware, VMWare or alternative Hypervisor, LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP

  • Experience in support role/servicedesk, ideally within an internal client focused organisation.

  • Hands on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, modification maintenance and repair of IT hardware and software

  • Ability to logically prioritise tasks and schedule work accordingly.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and respond positively to pressure.

  • The ability to work well within a team environment.


 

Desirable:


 

  • ITIL 4 certifications

  • MCP Certifications

  • Experience in a Manufacturing or FMCG environment
