IT Programme Manager

Belfast/Northern Ireland (Hybrid working model)

£80K + benefits

Our client are an established yet innovative technology and business process solutions organisation. They are entering a new growth phase and have a current requirement for an experienced IT Programme Manager.

As Programme Manager you will be responsible for the successful delivery of major Digital Transformation and complex solution implementations for Public Sector clients.

 

Your role will include:

  • Project manage the delivery of a portfolio of projects, ensuring delivery in alignment to defined business objectives, delivery schedule and cost.

  • Be accountable for the creation and maintenance of the overall Programme Plan and critical path analysis. Proactively manage delivery constraints.

  • Production of Project Plans, Project Control Documents, Project Reports.

  • Identify and pro-actively mitigate programme delivery constraints, dependencies, risks and issues.

  • Conduct resource and finance forecasting to ensure programme deliverability and liaise with departmental managers regarding project resource allocation.

  • Assist with the analysis and documentation of customer requirements.

  • Manage internal Project Board meetings.

  • Effectively manage global teams of internal and external resources, including third party suppliers. .

  • Exhibit gravitas and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain strong senior stakeholder relationships with internal users and external clients

  • Proven leadership experience managing high performance onshore and offshore teams in the delivery of complex projects, across concurrent parallel work streams

  • Experience of delivery of large, complex multi-million pound public sector projects with large teams and multi-year duration.

  • Experience of delivering a complex portfolio of projects, leveraging a matrix organisation structure

  • Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams and ability to understand complex technical solutions

  • Experience in project management within a software development environment, with a track record in successful delivery of major projects within customer and commercial expectations.

  • Full understanding of the Software Delivery Lifecycle.

  • Experience in both formal (PRINCE2) and agile project delivery methodologies.

  • Experience in Risk analysis and management.

  • Significant vendor management experience

  • Sound communication skills including ability to deliver presentations

  • Good commercial awareness and sound understanding of project and business dynamics.
