Our client work with leading organisations in Northern Ireland and internationally. These organisations are looking to derive greater value from technology and data – both in terms of customer facing solutions and within their operations.


They are building their Technology Consulting team, investing significantly to offer a wide range of services, from helping create digitally-fit strategies and operating models, to designing and building client facing and operational platforms. As part of this they have ambitious plans for Northern Ireland.


The role


They seek a motivated and enthusiastic individual to lead and build a Northern-Ireland Technology Consulting business. This role will focus primarily on the NI market, working as part of the NI leadership team, and as a leader within the all-island Technology Consulting team.


This is an important role. Success will be rewarded with a clear route to progression to the senior levels within the firm. This role requires an individual who can be the centre of Operational activities whilst managing Client Delivery and contributing to strategy.



The objectives are:


  1. Business development

Finding opportunities and winning business will be a key part of your role. You will:

  • Work with other leads to set the direction for the Technology Consulting in NI.

  • You will lead/support business development activities, grow your network– identify and develop relationships with new and existing clients. This will require you to raise the profile of Technology Consulting capabilities in the NI market, building a pipeline of Tech Consulting work in Northern Ireland.

  • Lead and support sales through work on bids, proposal responses and developing relationships and opportunities.

  • Launch and oversee/support the delivery at account level

  • Develop and promote new Digital/Technology market propositions.


  1. Practice development


You will have a strong desire to help build capability and enhance the team around you. While you are not required to do this alone, you will:


  • Work with technology leadership to build and develop the Digital / Technology team capability

  • Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring junior staff

  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for all levels of staff

  • Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training fellow professionals.

  • contribute to the development of governance structures, methods and compliance activities

  • Build strong internal relationships within Advisory and across other services


The Person:


  • You will have an excellent understanding of the NI market, be well connected with the market having sold Technology for professional services.

  • Proven experience of driving business development activities, client relationship management and contribution to winning proposal development

  • Have a track record of advising senior client stakeholders on executing business-led technology transformation within leading organisations. You will have experience and connections in public / and or private sectors

  • Previous management experience in developing people and service capability through resource management, coaching and focused career development skills

  • Experience in facilitating effective workshops across all levels of an organisation

  • You are likely to have experience of technology delivery background across a range of domains

  • Extensive experience in a technology sales and delivery role

  • Have a track record with a consulting or systems integration firm

  • Solid business acumen, management and marketing communication skills
